Hi I'm Zoe. It's great to meet you!
I am originally from the Clare Valley. This gave me an appreciation in wine as well as experience in wine making. I moved to Adelaide and worked as a Gym Instructor & Personal Trainer after completing Certificates III & IV in fitness at the AIF. Also, while studying Physiotherapy, I completed a Sports Trainer 1 certificate through SASMA, which gave experience in management of sports injuries in Soccer and Hockey.
Growing up playing sport, I grew familiar with physiotherapy involvement in managing injury and improving conditioning. This is also a common job/industry choice within my family. I have always had a keen interest in new experiences and anything active, which originally drew me to Personal Training. This was an area where I gained a lot of satisfaction in helping people achieve personal goals. This led to an interest in furthering my knowledge and expertise in the human body & health, which pointed me towards Physiotherapy. I gained a Diploma in Health Science at the SAIBT, which secured a spot in Physiotherapy at the University of South Australia. Upon graduating with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, I found that PhysioWest aligned with my values in the importance of firstly building good relationships with patients to deliver quality health care.
I am passionate in using Physiotherapy to maintain and improve general health & well being, assist return to fitness as well as return to sport.
Outside of Physiotherapy I play hockey for Forestville Premier League Women’s Team. I also enjoy dabbling in kickboxing, silk ropes, yoga & bush walking but can never fit all of these in! Summer is also a favourite month to get to SA’s beautiful beaches.
