I believe in developing a close relationship with my patients to provide long term improvements in pain and dysfunction, rather than temporary fixes. I have a particular interest in active management strategies to help strengthen and build resilient bodies to aid recovery and prevent further injury.
Growing up in Port Lincoln, I was always an active kid and was involved in a variety of sports including football, cricket, soccer, tennis, swimming and Crossfit. Like most youngsters, I had my fair share of sporting injuries which sparked my interest in physiotherapy. I’ve always been passionate about health and wellbeing, and find it rewarding to help others achieve their goals and get back to what they love.
I joined the team at PhysioWest as their philosophy to educate and empower resonates strongly with my own and I admired their drive to make the client’s experience fun and memorable. A supportive team environment, diverse workload and a shared passion for good coffee – it was an opportunity I had to take.
A quote that has stuck with me is, ‘The only person you should try to be better than is the person you were yesterday’. For me, it means that we should be focused on our own specific goals and be continually working on personal growth and development.
Away from the clinic, I work as a trainer for the Port Adelaide Football Club and enjoy keeping fit through Crossfit. I enjoy listening to music, getting down to the beach, and have a slight addiction to food. I love to travel and have been very fortunate to experience some amazing places.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia and found my passion in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and orthopaedic rehabilitation.
