I am a recently graduated Physiotherapist that is new to my career and the PhysioWest team! I graduated my Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from the University of South Australia in 2021 and am beyond excited to begin my journey as a fully qualified Physiotherapist.
For me, there was nothing more I wished to study than Physiotherapy. I found it was the perfect combination of my interests in biology, sport, the human body, and problem solving. My earliest experiences with physiotherapists were through my involvement in sport, and at the time I thought it was amazing that there was a career that had the potential to revolve around one of my passions. Throughout my degree, however, I have loved learning about the much larger scope of physiotherapy and seeing just how many different areas we specialise in as well as all of the ways we can help people.
I am originally from Mount Gambier in the state’s beautiful South East. I moved to Adelaide straight after high school to pursue my university studies. I love the strong sense of community and support country towns give, and have always sought that same feeling since. PhysioWest has welcomed me into their family with open arms and treats their clients with this same regard, the community they have built reminds me of the kindness of home. I would love to provide you with this same feeling!
My heavy sporting involvement and work as a sports trainer throughout Uni has developed my passion for sporting injuries, athletes and patients wishing to return to sport. Other areas I really enjoy are return to work, Pilates, post-surgery and exercise therapy. Overall, it is reducing people’s pain and empowering them through exercise and active lifestyles to allow them to return to the things they love that drives my practice. I am looking forward to developing my skills and diversifying my practice so I can treat a wide range of patients effectively. Regardless of what brings you to the clinic, I would love to help you reach your goals and help you understand your body, all whilst having fun and being a friend along the way!
Outside of physio you will find me keeping active playing netball, getting a sweat up at Body Fit next door at Mile End, or riding my bike. Another big part of my life is spending time with my friends and family – especially if it involves a wine or a gin – as well as running the medical support for the juniors at North Adelaide Football Club. I can also never turn down a good day out shopping (I love clothes!) or sitting out in the sun reading a book.
I can’t wait for my career as a Physiotherapist here at PhysioWest and getting to work with amazing clients.
I’d love to meet you and work with you, book your appointment below and we can begin our journey together!
