I am a Remedial Massage Therapist from the Australian Institute of Fitness.
Leaving the small country town I grew up in after graduating year 12, I jumped straight into a university degree that I thought I were to love, yet soon discovered that it didn’t resonate with my true passion to study the human body.
Deferring part way, I undertook a diploma of remedial massage therapy and soon fell in love with it; and everything I were to learn. Being terrified of making the wrong decision, I learnt that taking the risk of enrolling into this course was going to be one of the most rewarding things I have done.
Growing up heavily involved with sports, it has become a passion of mine and something I wish to study further. I come from a large family; one were sibling rivalry is almost always present. I support the Port Adelaide Football Club and love all things cricket (test cricket being the real winner).
Having encountered my fair share of injuries throughout the past; on and off the netball court, I have developed a great respect for physiotherapists and those working in the field of rehabilitation; this is a driving factor in wanting to develop my understanding of conditions in particular those sports related.
I joined the PhysioWest team to continue to learn from the amazing team and help clients on their journey of healing of their bodies. PhysioWest’s holistic approach to treatment is not just about treating clients but education. Their warm and welcoming team nature and the incredible facilities on offer are just an added bonus.
My life quote is “Our deepest fears are not that we are inadequate, our deepest fears are that we are powerful beyond measure…”
Outside of work, I live for the water whether it’s the ocean or a pool. I love spending quality time with friends and family, will happily read a book all day and have a soft spot for art and habit of painting for hours on end.
