Three of my passions when working with clients are acute injury management, return to sport rehab, and general health and well-being. I have always enjoyed being active and playing sport so I was naturally drawn towards becoming a physiotherapist and helping others achieve their health goals. When I joined PhysioWest I was attracted to the holistic approach to health and the amazing facilities available.
My first physiotherapy experience was following surgery for a labral tear in my shoulder which I sustained while playing basketball. My experience was a great one as my physiotherapist worked with me to achieve my goal of returning to competitive basketball.
I was born in Canberra and moved around Australia when I was younger before finally settling in Adelaide. I have two older brothers and a younger sister. My dad lives in Sydney and my mum lives between Adelaide and Japan.
My core message “Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it. – Michael Jordan
Outside of work, I enjoy catching up with mates for a coffee and the occasional beer, mostly while watching some form of sporting event or playing video games.
I follow Everton FC in the English Premier League and the Dallas Mavericks in the NBA. I also have an interest in mixed martial arts.
I graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Physiotherapy. I have attended a number of professional development courses including dry needling, DMA clinical pilates, and the APA sports physiotherapy level 1 course.
